The 33rd bluesfestival is August 29 – September 1, 2024.

The four-day festival is an annual event first weekend in September every year in Hell, Norway.

It marks the beginning of the autumn festival season and for many its the higlight of the year.

The festival was first held in 1992, starting as a small local festival with only Norwegian acts. Now we have the 33rd anniversary festival in 2024. We will present International and Norwegian blues artists at top level with nonstop music from several stages inside the magic Scandic Hell hotel, located only 2 min from Trondheim Int. Airport.

The festival includes a fabulous mix of styles from acoustic blues, via jump, swing, blues rock to modern next generation blues. There are also events in the schools and for seniors. The festival have strong focus on Youth Blues with an own stage for Young up and coming blues artists.

The magic blue light in Hell mixed with burnin’ sky provides a unique atmosphere for the festival wherein artists, audiences and locals mingle in magic concert settings throughout the weekend. This creates unforgettable memories and many of our guests come back year after year.

Blues in Hell is the closest You get to a bluescruise and probably the most compact bluesfestival in the world. Artists, audinence, magic blues crew, hotelstaff, bars, restaurants, stages and hotel rooms, all under the same roof. 2400 square meters with BLUES.
